Derbyshire County Council email about budget cuts

Dear Colleague,

In light of the significant budget cuts facing Derbyshire County Council over the next five years we need to start advising partners and clients that there will be changes to services going forward. I have been asked to circulate the attached letters (Client letter 020114, Letter for Partners 020114 Scan, Derbyshire Challenge fact sheet, Easy read letter and factsheet derbyshire challenge) for yourselves and for clients along with a factsheet. There is also an Easy Read version for those who would prefer that format. I would be grateful if you could make them available to any clients that you have contact with prior to the 14th January 2014.

Reports will be going to Derbyshire County Council Cabinet meeting on January 21st 2014 and from 14th January 2014 information regarding the initial proposals will enter the public domain.

Following this, a formal consultation process will  begin at the end of January 2014 and more details about specific proposals will then become available.

We do appreciate that this is a difficult time and that at this stage the information we have is very limited. However, we do assure you that those affected will have an opportunity to have an input and provide their feedback.

Regards

Gemma Ashby, Contracts Manager
