D2N2 – A local Enterprise partnership between Nottingham, Derby and their Counties

FUNDING FOR COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS: Cabinet has approved funding of more than £3 million to support community and voluntary organisations across the county.
A list of 230 organisations and small groups ranging from charities to luncheon clubs will receive a share of the cash, which is expected to help improve the lives of 10,000 people. The decision to continue payments to these groups despite pressures on the Adult Care budget reflects the contribution they make to Adult Care services and the support they give to the local community.

FEE LEVEL INCREASES FOR INDEPENDENT SECTOR CARE SERVICES: Care home providers in Derbyshire are to receive a two per cent fee increase back dated to 1 April 2013, while a review into their costs is completed. It has also been agreed that a 2% increase will apply to home care fees, specialist care home placements and day care placements in care homes.
Cabinet approved a £125,000 contribution to support the work of the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership over the next two years.
D2N2 brings together Derbyshire County Council, Derby City Council, Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottingham City Council and business leaders to unlock investment and build a strong and resilient economy for the region.
